Someone you met with uses Alygn, and their Chief of Staff took notes. Here is what it does and what happens to what was said.
What it records
This meeting's audio, turned into a transcript and a short summary. It records nothing before it joins or after it leaves.
Who gets the notes
The person who brought it, their teammates who were in the meeting, and everyone on the invite by email, unless their organisation has turned that off. The notes are kept while their organisation uses Alygn, and its administrators can have them deleted. Read our Privacy Statement.

Why is it in my meeting?
The person who invited it uses Alygn, which helps a team turn what it agrees in meetings into work and keep that work tied to its goals. Their Chief of Staff joins the call to take the notes, so they can listen instead of typing.
Does it speak or join in?
No. When it joins it posts one line in the meeting chat saying that it is recording and what it is. After that it stays quiet: it does not talk, share a screen or message you.
What happens to what was said?
The audio becomes a transcript, a short summary and a list of the things people agreed to do. Those agreements can become tasks for the host's team, so nothing said in the meeting is lost.
Will I get an email from it?
Yes, if you were on the invite: the summary, the decisions and what was agreed, soon after the meeting. The host's organisation can turn this off, and every email has a link to stop them.
